Dean Deceiver Electric Guitar Review

Hey there,

Today I am going to be reviewing the stunning Dean Deceiver electric guitar in Classic Black.

At a first look this guitar could be pigeon-holed into being a ‘metal’ guitar and yes this guitar handles every bit of my metal needs, but it offers much more than that too. I was completely absorbed by its beautiful Les Paul shape and gold fittings, and floored by the crushing set of active EMGs that will knock you for six. You can find this model for around £750 in most large guitar stores and on various online guitar shops. However, if £450 sounds more in your price range then the particular guitar you are looking at could be for you. This one has some minor cosmetic damage on the back and so has been reduced by around £300.

When it is time to thrash your guitar and really move those strings, we are often left knocked out of tune and it becomes a real problem for some guitarists. The beauty of this model is that no matter how much stick I gave it, it wouldnt budge and seemed to just hold the tuning and keep on chugging through. After trying this guitar and falling in love with it, I had to check out what other players had to say about it and I was very happy to hear everyone rating a 4 or 5 out of 5 star rating across the board.

If you want an instrument that will hold up at gigs and sit beautifully in a studio session, rehearsal and practise, then you should be very happy with the Deceiver. This guitar is built to last and why wouldnt it be when it is the product of all of Dean guitars experience and mastery of the craft of guitar making. It is a guitar with all the sex appeal and often called the BOSS known for its sleek design and easy access to upper frets.

Players who use Dean– Dimebag Darrell, Dave Mustaine, Vinnie Moore, Jack Kilcoyne, Michael Schenker, Rusty Cooley, Michael Angelo Batio, Karl Saunders, Tracii Guns and Wayne Static.

Price– £450

I hope you enjoy. Keep rockin’

Tom
