I was very pleased with an email I got today from one of my private students who has started using my ebooks to accompany the lessons. Steve only recently approached me about lessons, and is undoubtedly going to be a real pleasure to teach.

Woohooo!!! You know when you have one of those ‘Eureka!’ moments with the guitar and your brain finally starts to really understand something….. I havent had one for ages but I read the beginner guitar ebook and started ‘be the guitarist’ and then had one last night whilst laying in bed thinking about root note positions for CAGED.. it suddenly all came together and made sense (in theory)… as did the importance of frets 3,5 and 7 in particular on the E, A and D string.

The first few times I looked at CAGED, that horrendously looking complicated neck diagram with every note on it really scared me off..particularly as it normally has something written along the lines of ‘You will learn every note on the neck!” which just looked impossible… now that my brain understands,, its not even that hard.. let alone impossible to learn lol
